The Garden of Hope at Westlake Community Hospital provides a small gathering space constructed of bluestone to be used for quiet contemplation, prayer or celebration by patients and their families. The space provides a setting for a bronze sculpture of the Resurrected Christ accented by boulders inscribed with key verses from the Bible selected by the Sisters. Twelve boulders were arranged behind the sculpture to represent the Twelve Apostles with one boulder larger to reflect the stone rolled from Christ̢۪s tomb. Soft textured shrubs were selected to create a sense of enclosure and privacy around the perimeter of the space.
